Bankruptcy Brothel calls again - old news??

The idea of Britain as a bankruptcy brothel has been mentioned on this blog before. The Times newspaper have now picked up on the story with a piece entitled: "Firms flock to 'bankruptcy brothel' UK" The piece makes interesting reading in itself, but also because of the IP critical comment which follows the piece. The Mail have also done a piece on the trend of insolvency forum shopping. See here.

I am no kind of biblical expert, but my son has just read a portion of Exodus for his Bar Mitzvah that deals with the treatment of slaves. His teacher referred him to a section of Leviticus that implies that most Hebrew slaves acquired that status by selling themselves into bondage to cover debts - Leviticus 25:39 (http://www.mechon-mamre.org/p/pt/pt0325.htm#35).
