Cork Gully - back after 30 years absence

We have touched on Sir Kenneth Cork and the Cork insolvency practitioner (Sir Roger pictured) and Cork lawyer dynasties on this blog before on numerous occasions. News now reaches the blog that Cork Gully has been relaunched under managing partner Mr Stephen Cork. The Cork name obviously contains much kudos and history in the world of insolvency. Professor David Graham QC, sometime friend of Sir Kenneth Cork, co-opted member of the Cork committee (Cmnd 8558) and former partner in Coopers & Lybrand, has said the following the in relation to the news:

"This is excellent news and Kenneth and Norman must be delighted!"

Cork Gully (formerly WH Cork Gully) was established in 1906 by WH Cork and Harry Gully in London. In 1980 the business became part of Coopers & Lybrand, now PWC. The resurrected firm is to be based at:

Cork Gully LLP
52 Brook Street
London
W1K 5DS

Will they also resurrect their excellent "Cork Gully on Insolvency Judgments" book series? Let us hope so as these volumes provided an excellent snapshot of insolvency case law and provisions.
