The troubled Dr Cable's BIS have published volume one of a two volume report on the Companies Act 2006. The report is entitled: "Evaluation of the Companies Act 2006, volume one" (pictured). The work was undertaken by ORC International for the Department. The work assesses the impact of the Companies Act 2006 on UK businesses to determine whether it is meeting its key policy objectives of enhancing stakeholder engagement and a long term investment culture, ensuring better regulation and a ‘think small first’ approach, and making it easier to set up and run a company. See also Volume two which contains the appendices (URN 10/1361), the executive summary (10/1362) and the summary of findings (10/1363).
