Insolvency Event - Insolvency Rules Modernisation - 14 October 2009

It has become a busy time of the year for insolvency events. Next Wednesday (16th) there is the Nottingham Law School Insolvency Roundtable at Nottingham Trent University (Joint conference on the intersection between insolvency law and business and accounting practice), and now the Insolvency Service have published the details of a forthcoming Stakeholder Conference on Insolvency Rules Modernisation which is due to take place on Wednesday 14 October 2009 at the Insolvency Service, 21 Bloomsbury Street, London WC1B 3QW. The aims of the conference are to: 

•      Provide an update on the progress of the project for modernisation of the Insolvency Rules;
  
•        Inform stakeholders of the main themes for change and the timetable for implementation;
  
•        Help stakeholders to prepare for the introduction of new procedures in April 2010; and
  
•        Provide an opportunity to raise questions with The Insolvency Service and drafting lawyers.
